Sweet turkey fillet with brown rice

For centuries, poultry has been the undisputed king of Polish cuisine. Turkey is right behind chicken with regard to popularity among consumers. There are many ways to make a juicy turkey fillet – you can make it hot or herby, you choose to be extravagant and add fruit into the mix, or make a salad. The sweet turkey fillet with brown rice and carrot is a sophisticated dish perfect for those who like unorthodox recipes. The dish is sure to satisfy those who prefer rational nutrition, as one serving is only 400 kcal.
Recipe: 45 minutes
  • 4 turkey fillets (100 g each)
  • 2 apples
  • 4 teaspoons rapeseed oil
  • 1 onion
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • seasoning: salt and pepper
  • 2 bags brown rice
  • 8 carrots
  • lemon juice
  1. Lightly tenderise the fillets and sear on both size until golden.
  2. Take the meat out, put chopped onions into the pan, together with peeled and sliced apples and honey. Sear until soft.
  3. Add the turkey, stir, simmer for a while, take the pan off the heat and cover with a lid to preserve the temperature.
  4. Cook the rice in accordance with the instructions on the box.
  5. Grate the carrots finely, add lemon juice to taste.
  6. Put the meat with additions, boiled rice (half a bag per serving) and carrots onto a plate.
