Easy dinner – three recipes for quick preparation of meat dishes

Dinner with meat? Easy-peasy. Get some turkey meat at the ready and look into one of our recipes. It will be quick – take our word for that.

Turkey breast with rice and vegetables

Tak przygotowana pierś z indyka to łatwy w przygotowaniu sycący obiad. Using only few dishes during the process, there will not be much cleaning afterwards.


Ingredients (for 4 people, time of preparation: about 30 minutes):

  • 250-300 g of turkey breast
  • 1 bag of frozen vegetable mix, about 450 g (depending on choice or availability)
  • 1 bag of any rice (100 g)
  • 1 tablespoon of olive or any other oil (clarified butter or regular oil)
  • salt & pepper
  • favorite spices, eg.: mixed herbs, powdered paprika (sweet or spicy), curry (powder or mousse), dried garlic etc. – may not be necessary if a bag of spices has been attached to the vegetable mix



  1. Boil a bag of rice in salted water, according to the instructions on the box. Strain the rice afterwards.
  2. While the rice is boiling, wash and dry the turkey then cut it in small cubes. Add salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil on a skillet. When hot, add cubed meat and fry it until it browns.
  4. When the meat is ready, add vegetable mix and set medium fire then leave it to stew under the lid for about 8 to 10 minutes for the vegetables to become soft but not brittle.
  5. Finally, add boiled and strained rice. Mix it all together and fry for another couple of minutes. Add spices and serve while still hot.


Tip:Before serving, you may want to add chopped parsley, dill, coriander, peanuts or fried onion.


Tortilla with turkey and vegetables

Turkey wraps are not just a quick dinner idea. They might be a great lunch for your workplace, school or university (if you decide to take it with you, skip wet vegetables, such as tomato or cucumber or I will get soggy).


Ingredients (for 4 people, time of preparation: about 30 minutes):

  • 300-400 g of tyurkey breast
  • meat seasonings: salt, pepper, paprika, curry or curcuma, granulated garlic
  • olive oil or clarified butter
  • 4 tortillas – any kind, eg. wheat or wholegrain
  • sauce: half glass of yoghurt, 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise, granulate, salt and pepper
  • extras: favorite vegetables, eg. half of iceberg lettuce (chopped), sliced or quartered tomatoes, paprika sliced in stripes and sliced cucumber



  1. Cut turkey into tiny slices and season it as you like.
  2. Heat the fat on skillet then sear the meat from each side on medium heat until it browns.
  3. In the meantime, prepare vegetables and sauce (mix all ingredients and spices)
  4. Heat the tortillas (optional). Spread sauce on each piece, put in some meat and vegetables then roll the tortilla. Your quick turkey meal is ready.
  5. How to roll a tortilla? After the filling has been put in the center of tortilla, bend its lower part towards it then start rolling towards the other end.


Turkey stew

This simple dinner can be prepared in less than half an hour. While stewing the meat, you may cook groats to save your time.


Ingredients (for 4 people, time of preparation: about 30 minutes):

  • 5 kg of turkey thigh – washed, dried and chopped into medium-sized cubes
  • 1 big carrot– half-sliced
  • 1 red pepper – sliced into stripes
  • 1/2 of onion – peeled and cubed
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic– peeled and pressed
  • 1 glass of stock
  • 1 tablespoon of wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 grains of allspice
  • salt & pepper
  • olive, oil or clarified butter



  1. Put thigh meat in a bowl then sprinkle it with salt and pepper. Put it aside for a moment.
  2. Heat a greased skillet and fry onion with garlic for a short while. Add turkey and wait until it browns.
  3. Add carrot and red pepper, pour the stock in and add paprika with bay leaf and two grains of allspice. Stew it under a lid for about 10 minutes.
  4. Get another, smaller skillet and roast some flour on it. Start pouring hot stock in. When the roux is ready, add it to your stew and braise it under the lid for a little longer. Add seasonings for a tasty finish.


Tip:Stew goes well with groats or potatoes. You may add some chopped parsley before serving.
